The Houston Astros had won the World Series last night, beating the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1 in Game 7 for their first title in franchise history, and in all of the pandemonium in this cramped clubhouse filled with cigar smoke and the aroma of cheap champagne and beer, it’s suddenly as if everybody forgot the ultimate prize.
