The Builders International rep has been perfecting his craft and unique sound, which is on full display on Pio Pico, where he blends his own lyrical mastery with a flow and skills that aren’t only confined to rapping in English.
The EP’s five tracks are all named in Spanish and feature the versatile MC showcasing his bilingual skills, including on “Sabes Que” where he states his mission:
“It didn’t seem like y’all niggas was understanding me when I speaking English, I gotta start talking to you niggas in another language…”
The idea is a perfect one for an artist as complex as Spiffy, who combines gritty street tales and lyrical dexterity with a flow that can morph to fit any beat thrown his way.
Pio Pico is available now on all streaming platforms and includes an appearance from fellow Los Angeles rep JaiRO RAPS.
